Seit 1994 arbeitet die gelernte Objektdesignerin, Musikerin & Komponistin Sonja Mischor als Sängerin & Flötistin in unterschiedlichen Projekten im Bereich Kunst, Performance, Theater, experimentelle Musik, Klassik, songwriting, elektronische Musik und Jazz. Von 2019 bis März 2024 arbeitete sie als Musikdozentin in der Musikschule"Mufab" in Aachen.

Außergewöhnliche Instrumente, Kompositionen jenseits üblicher Liedstrukturen, freie Improvisation statt starrem Korsett: Sonja Mischor ist eine Musikerin, die sich in ihrem Schaffen nicht von Grenzen oder Konventionen einzäunen lässt.
Diese Art des Arbeitens findet sich auch in ihren Bildarbeiten, Videos und Collagen wieder. Im Vordergrund stehen immer das Experiment und die Komposition.
In ihren Performances laufen all die Ausdrucksformen zusammen, die sie im Laufe der Jahre für sich entdeckt hat. Sie komponiert und produziert nicht nur die Musik, sie entwirft und schneidert auch die Kostüme, gießt kleine Geschichten in poetische Texte und ersinnt die Choreographien.
